Founded in 2008, Los Angeles Theatre Academy (LATA) is a nonprofit children’s theatre and creative arts organization serving ages 5–12 in Los Angeles. Through theatre, music, singing, dance, visual arts, movement, and performance, children are encouraged to build confidence, express their creativity, and develop lasting friendships.
LATA’s home in Elysian Park gives children a unique place to learn and create, with access to an outdoor amphitheatre, recreation spaces, nature trails, and playgrounds that bring together arts education, performance, outdoor exploration, and play.
At LATA, every child has opportunities to create, perform, and contribute in ways that feel meaningful to them, from acting, singing, and movement to visual arts, costume design, set building, storytelling, and other behind-the-scenes experiences.
